You're right. It's hard to know what to wish for regarding Hugo's possible departure from office or from the planet Earth.

Overall I would think his exit, in any mode, would be good for KRY in that I seriously doubt he would be replaced by somebody as clearly nuts as he is. Therefore a settlement might be more likely.

And while his exit, if by death, would throw the country into chaos that, I believe, could only last a year or so.

The bigger questions to ask are: Will KRY still exist if and when Hugo leaves?

And....what is to keep the bondholders from pushing KRY into bankruptcy, taking complete control of the company, financing the arbitration themselves, and keeping all the winnings that might, someday, be squeezed out of a Hugoless Venezuela?
