Electrovaya may not be as long producing a cell as you would think. They have the equipment in Michigan to make prototypes. But several months ago they were advertising for an engineer that could scale up a process. My assumption from that is they have a functional process to scale up. What I am hearing is that solid state cells have less equipment. That is they don't handls liquid solvents and they do not need the huge vacuum dryers so it is much less expensive to assemble a production line also less time required. After the line is automated it is just a matter of stacking parallel lines to increase production.
Now that brings Vicinity to my mind. Why the hold up? Are they redesigning something like maybe a battery pack??
