I am with you RE and have bought what I consider to be a very comfortable position. To me, this is going to become an arbitrage play with a great upside. I do not think we will get to see the SP we really want, ie north of $1.50 but we are certainly going to get more that 62 cents in any take over attempt.
The other thing I heard and this is only hearsay at the moment is that we have a new 43-101 done where our total resources here would be closer to 8M ounces instead of 6M ounces. Our grades have also been increasing if you believe the rumors. Now that we are proving that this can be mined, I cannot imagine a Barrick, Newmont or GoldCorp not being interested in a 6-8M ounce deposit in friendly Quebec. My plan will probably include selling some of my position once the offer is made but keeping some shares in case this turns into a bidding war. The offer could come as early as next Friday, the 4th of March but no later than March 8th to give us 35 days till the meeting date.
My hunch is we will not see our share price below 58 again as arbitrage type investors come in and take those shares away from those unwilling to play the end game. Once the first offer is made, the bigger arbitrage players will show up, these could also be Finsky friendlies who will buy any shares that are just here for the quick buck. Those guys will either help Finsky consolidate this play or wait for a bidding war. Either way, they probably will have fairly low risk with good upside as 6-8M ounces of gold do not come for sale too often in this gold market.
Investors have 6-8 days to make up their minds on how they will play this. Make your bets!
