Messrs. Major, Scola and Finskiy very follishly exposed there intentions a short 32 days after the conference call. This portends an attitude of contempt for the marketplace. Mr. Major has destroyed the reputation that the market was prepared to extend to him following his excellant performance during the conference call.
For the marketplace to now sit back and say.... "Oh you foolish boys, you should have known better ...... don't do it again or the next time you're going to get a spanking" Absolutely not ! The marketplace must now individually or as a group keep the pressure on. Letters of alert to the regulators and Investment Canada are encouraged in order to expose this flagrant disregard for the business ethics of Canada.
Yes, business is business and it's a cruel world out there. But when they attack the motherhood of our free enterprise system ....... Messrs. Major, Scola and Finskiy crossed the line.
My recommendation to Retail Investors, Institutional investors and interested investors is .... listen to the February 4, 2011 conference call, and then read the the March 8, 2011 news release. The disassociation between the two is so pronounced, no one should let the contempt go unchallenged. Messrs. Majors, Scola, Finskiy may have the dollars backing their interests but these are Canadian resources, being mined and processed by Canadian workers for the betterment of the Canadian economy. We may be "open for business". But we are not open for theft, misleading guidance, and manipulation.
Messrs. Majors, Scola and Finskiy...... are you listening?
