I agree with corralling facts from impressions. The way I've learned to use Agoracom forums is to read facts, ideas, and impressions, then see what ideas we can formulate to create a larger picture.

Then call CEOs and members whom I trust, and see what is fabricated or not, what works and what doesn't, and what fits in and what is unlikeley. Or, so as not to overwhelm the CEO with redundant calls, designate one out of a group to make the confirmation phone calls or test out larger picture ideas.

Then I like to go one step further and test what the CEOs say with other CEOs, and if I can make some helpful links for them.

Then I post my conclusions or if too sensitive, e-mail to those in the group. If some data is too sensitive, but I feel investing public should be aware of things, then I like to couch or camouflage the data in theoretic impressions.

Usually I have five motives, 1) to bring demand to my favored stock, 2) get others involved in my research to increase my DD sphere, 3) debunk mis-impressions, 4) bring retail pressure to the CEO to get his bum moving in a certain direction, 5) When an offer comes, I'd like retail to be in a position of cohesion for a vote.
