It's just a rule that a lot of funds have, that they won't buy any stock under $1. It's just one of those arbitrary things.

Another rule that some have is they don't buy anything unless it's on the big board - so no Venture, just major listings. That's why a lot of companies try to act professional enough (like filing financials on time, cough CMM cough) to move onto the grownup TSX.
