If not for the constant Canadian Central Bank operations recently to try and keep the CDN dollar down and support the US dollar, the story would already be hapenning BigPic. Politically in Canada neither Ontario or Quebec want the CDN dollar higher but the fundamenatls dictate it should be so it will be eventually. Both Ontario and Quebec will get what they deserve for their poor management of their respective economies and bad politics with Ontario by far the worst with no legit energy strategy as well which is unbelieveable given the long standing manufacturing base.

From my perspective I want the CDN dollar much higher. Remember we now have a Goldman Sachs alumni as head of the Bank of Canada which will prove to be a very bad mistake in my view going forward. We will wish David Dodge never left while this guy tries to make us part of something bigger that we should reject. Frankly I think Goldman people have made a mess wherever they have been and I expect no less in Canada eventually. The good thing is we own our central bank as it would be intolerable not too and I can't imagine how any country could operate otherwise.
