Softly, SOFTLY??? Have you been sleeping? Bribes, arm twisting, lies, contrived budget numbers, back room deals in the dark of night, labor union exclusions!? It is clear that with 150+ new government agencies now scheduled to determine what kind of treatment is approved and who will receive it we will get government health care that mimics the incredibly poor care of third world countries and the veteran administration.
You may have noticed that Canadians come to the US for treatment but no US citizens go to Canada. There is a reason. But its OK as that difference will be gone in 10 years.
30 mil new people on some kind of health welfare and fewer doctors?! Hospitals judged on their "community service" rather than their ability to deliver quality health care? Trillions of $ in new expenditures with nothing but pain to show for it? I have made it through about 800 pages of the near 3,000 pages and it is nothing but a huge intrusion of the government into what should be free enterprise and doctor-patient private decisions.

It is obvious that you are not independent in your philosophy, but the facts are way different than your portrayal. You should read Congressman Ryan’s and others suggestions. Should read the bill for that matter. The republicans put out a number of realistic ways to clean up health care but the socialist left just paraded out one sob story after another to keep from debating the details of the bill. If this bill isn’t turned over by the courts it will destroy the US as we know it. Not transform; DESTROY!
The republicans are no choir boys, but the democrats in this congress are despicable. Communism has failed in one nation after another. People never seem to “get it”. Those who proffer these massive socialistic programs do not want better life conditions for the many. They want power for themselves. They assume that they will be the elite riding on the back of the citizen slaves. Look to history. The US will soon repeal this kind of bill or repeat the socialistic decay in the repeat of history. No bad law is a good step forward!
The “change” that brought these socialists to power was thought to be change to clean up DC. Instead we are getting the worst congress in history.
