This is my first post on this forum.

I had the same experience with warrants from Aquila Resources (AQA-T).

I acquired the warrants through a PP. As part of the writeup for the rules and regulations it was written that the company had the right to accelerate the redemption of the warrants ahead of the expiry date. Well ahead of the expiry date the SP of Aquila took off and the warrants became well into the money. Sure enough the company issued a release stating that they were going to "call up" the warrants. I had a choice of coming up with the money now or giving up the warrant.

Since I was well into money at the time I excercised the warrant and turned it into shares. I still have those shares and they are still in the money. I didn't mind at all. I should point out that those warrants were not tradable (ie. not listed on any exchange), unlike the ECU warrants that we are discussing (that are tradable).

I would think that ECU or any other company is not going to accelerate the redemption of any warrants unless it suits their holders (ie. well into the money). Also the option of accelerating the redemption must be specified at the time the warrants are issued. It can't be decided at a later time.

At this time I would like to thank the many posters here. I am a long time shareholder (since 2002) and used to read/post Stockhouse. I like many found the internal bickering/name calling/agendas non-productive to the point where it was all useless. The ECU Stockhouse BB used to be the best. Over time the bashers turned it into a useless read. Agoracom.com has taken over and now this truly is the best BB to read with a wide wealth of knowledge from all parts of the globe.

Although this is my first post here I've been reading the board since its inception.
