Your record, Bodysurfer, with Covered Calls is most admirable.  My caveat was purposed just to exemplify that there is no perfect method of trading stock or options.  Risk is inherent in all methods and strategies, no matter what the percent of success with those methods and strategies might be for an individual investor.  No long period of time in investing is without a few cloudy and rainy days since every day can not be sunny and bright.  Any long time LAC investor has already learned that lesson!

I have also been investing for more than 30 years, and have had many very sunny days but scattered amongst the sunshine days have been more than a few of the cloudy and rainy days as well.  Risk is always a consideration.  Always.
