I recall these guys, but more specifically the Rockwell-Collins connection.

"aJile Systems is a pioneer in the design and manufacture of Java technology-based processors. The engineering and marketing team are Java pioneers from Rockwell-Collins, Sun Microsystems and Centaur Technologies, where they gained considerable expertise in the design and marketing of multiple generations of Microprocessors for networked embedded applications. aJile's founders include four of the principle engineers and designers responsible for the development of the world's first low-power Java processor, JEM™, and for advanced Java software development tools at Rockwell Collins."

I recall a little uproar among us PTSC Longs back in '98/'99 when Rockwell-Collins proclaimed to have the first JAVA processor, when PTSC had had it for years prior.  We were screaming for a PTSC response to the claim.  It never came.

We were obviously first, certainly before ajile which didn't even exist before '99.

Thanks though - this shows there are now several JAVA dedicated chip available (competition).
