I think evil is the wrong word in this instance, but the meaning is the same. Do nothing, and get what you deserve.

I choose to engage the company directly and forthrightly, and if they refuse to be forthright in return, I choose to let that be known in hopes others will engage them similarly, until they feel enough pressure to change their methods and EARN less scrutiny from shareholders.
