IMO They probably have their hands full initiating return streams via SMS-IVR thru the the RTSP.
But seems it shouldn't be too hard to incorporate SIP if they can stream live:
“This breakthrough comes as welcome news to content owners who need to broadcast their mobile video (both live and as video clips) to a high volume of users simultaneously,”
http://www.prweb.com/releases/tipmot...
They do call it on demand, but sorta near-realtime half-duplex. lol
''The tipMotion appliance can support 1,500 simultaneous Video-On-Demand streams.''
''AdVideo is an innovative video-based advertising service that engages users by streaming video content to mobile phones – at the request of the consumer. Advertising content can range from movie trailers to product videos and can be accessed when consumers send a shortcode text message or scan a barcode on a print advertisement, initiating the streaming of a short advertising or informational video.''
"Is mobile IPTV something that Avot has on their radar?" This is a good question and will probably depend on the outcome of the ATSC and any adoption by the public per MobilTV and its IMS adaptions.
''Can TipMotion provide a Java-based IMS''
component? IMO They'd be more inclined to if something transpired between Crossfo and EC-One as milstone smacked at here:
