You say "Bottom line: We need a legal victory or a publicized settlement figure like we were able to accomplish with Fujitsu and HP. That imo is the only way we obtain FULL legitimacy in the eyes of prospective licensees."

Though, as I stated yesterday, I'm in agreement with the above, though not to the extent of the above. What I do agree with is the thought that this would be the most effective and expedient way to essentially justify, and get, maximum license fees. But I do not believe it is the "only" way. Over time, those 10Qs could add up to truly astounding dollars, and fat dividends could also send the message. But to suggest that, with say a clean '336 as of tomorrow, we'd have to wait for a court victory with the T3 - perhaps a year from now - to be postured to fully capitalize I think is "pushing the theme to the extreme".

And after having slept on it, specifically in reference to my first post along these lines yesterday, I do believe that if we saw a large volume of new licensees (with some known names) being reported, that too could get the ball rolling. Competition by prospective licensees, or demand for licenses, could cause/enable the ability to fully capitalize - and much sooner. I could go on with the whole supply/demand dynamic and what it can/does do, but I suspect most people have a grip on that basic concept.

Yesterday I suggested that with a clean '336, I suspect that at least 10% of the infringers they in "active" discussions with would sign up PDQ. If we started seeing daily PRs, or the "waves" previously suggested, that could capture as much attention as any thing else, IMO. It would prompt demand.

Another thought along these same lines - specifically regarding the "number of dollars" issue: I strongly suspect that AT LEAST all those companies with which we are in active discussions have already been presented a "number". They know what we're asking for a license. And they would have no reason to think that other prospective licensees would for any reason be given a break, but would be asked for a similar (proportionately) number. Numbers are out there. And I would think that with a clean '336, they all would notified of the "new number" - higher than before because of the elimination of risk. What I'm getting at is that all the players would know the kind dollars we're shooting for, so do they really need to see a publicized dollar amount - especially if they see 20+ new licensees in a flurry? Their competitors....

Just some new perspectives/thoughts/opinions.
