I would be equally incensed by my inactions had I simply sat around and done nothing while watching the price of any of my investments fall by 95%. However, as with a notional price at which to sell for a profit, I also have a price at which to sell to mitigate any losses.

What I do find puzzling is that the BoD is blamed by many for their respective decisions not to sell, even after years of derisory comments as to their abilities.

Another of life's little conundrums, perhaps?
