The object for PTSC isn't to make them spend a lot in legal fees, it is to get the largest amount possible for licensing. PTSC can not win a war of attrition with HTC/Barco/Acer

I disagree they would have similar costs regarding legal fees plus the nuisance value costs. The object is to make the rest of the infringers pay. The higher the costs to litigate the more likely the negotiated settlement on a license occurs. PTSc is in a war of attrition and so far we are winning. These guys sued us then used the patent office to try and destroy us. We keep prevailing. Like I said before the costs of litigation should be a huge factor in the licensing agreements. I think one of the three will break and settle rather than risk a huge pay out. It seems they are the ones that keep trying to push this out, if you dont infringe just go to court and prove it. Could it be there is advice and support from some of the big boys waiting in the wings. Right now they want it pushed back because they are still trying to find prior art and know the only way to win is through an exparte reexam. All opinion of course and might not matter much for us the shareholder with the group that is leading our company.
