Regarding ronran's Jan 28 post,

"it may be that some of the findings are so clear that either infringement or non-infringement is admitted, and the parties stipulate to such so that an immediate appeal is possible (remember, there is no right of appeal from the Markman ruling itself)."

"as I have said on many occasions, TPL/PTSC must decisively win the Markman, or must go to trial and prevail. Virtually any other path most likely leads to the low-dollar settlements we have now seen on some 90 occasions."

1. If TPL/PTSC does not decisively win the Markman, will the T3 file appeals, and if so, can they keep this going until 2015?

2. If it keeps going until the patents expire, what then, game over?

3. Is it still cheaper for the T3 to play this game than to pay for the patents?

4. Is it still best for any potential licensee to wait and see?
