With all due respect, this thread began with Fut voicing concern over the alarms rather suddenly being sounded by Ease. Nobody, including Ease, knows quite what to make of things, other than the obvious thing all of us have known for the vast majority of our experience in this ongoing saga - it ain't a "sure thing", and Murphies Law looms large.

While Ease has been a good boy (not meant to be demeaning at all) for the last couple of years, most of us have been here a very long time, and most of us have a memory that works reasonably well. Ease is now in his, what, seventh incarnation on this board, having been banned many times. I suspect most of us recall his acts of relentless bashing, admitting to it, and then stating that he'll do it again when ever he feels it will serve his purposes (I've got a screen shot of that post somewhere, but I'll spare you).

But, again, that is in the deep dark past, and Ease has been a valuable contributor in more recent times. But the past haunts....so there is a pretty solid foundation for "asinine accusations". Slander?

Personally, I suspect that Ease is being earnest with his concerns. But you have to admit that the question posed by Fut has merit. Why would Ease choose to pose questions surrounding his concerns on Agora to a bunch of (to varying degrees) techno-numbskulls, when he likely continues to have access to the opinions of a qualified EE who is already familiar with our situation? It just seems a little weird, IMO and apparently Fut's.

On the other side of the coin, Ease's concerns may have merit. But heck, everybody is already in a state of "concern", because there are a bunch of presumed "knowns" and a ton of "unknowns".

I have no problem with people voicing concerns, but, unfortunately, there is the Fright Factor, which is rather exaggerated these days and probably for good reason, since we appear to be approaching "critical mass" - within the next year.

So put it all together - Ease's deep past posting practices and statements, critical mass, fright factor, and questions/concerns that nobody has answers to - assuming they have any understanding of the tech (which very few have), and only a few little pieces of the puzzle to work with. Quite the recipe....for valid concern, and suspicion.
