There is a lot of talk going on at Stockhouse regarding the phone calls to the secretary. Mostly to do with the timing of news.
I was wondering how many of the brotherhood called Noront today and actually talked with either Richard or "the secretary". I am just wondering because one subtle but effective bashing tactic is to post small lies concerning NR timings to create a sense of frustration and anxiety in the market.
I believe Franz and I talked about the halt possibly lasting as long as it took to get the full assay results from holes 1,2 and 5 back from the lab. Even with the rushes, this could have taken additional time. Especially if they are re-assaying due to bonanza grade results (which they did last December with Noront hole 06-100).
I also remember thinking that the longer this halt goes, the better. Most companies halt, throw out some lame drill results, and then unhalt. Noront has only halted on significant news in the past. The longest until today was Windfall which was halted from a Wednesday at 10:30 AM EST (roughly) to Friday, at Noon EST.
With no NR today, we now have a full three days of HALTED action. This is definitely going to be an earth shaker when it comes out. If the results sucked, Richard would have said so as he did at the end of last December for Windfall holes 105 - 112. We didn't even halt then.
My feeling is that they are either awaiting re-assays or are working overtime in preparing us for some major corporate news. Either way, we will be happy when news is released.
