A while back I asked what the effect would be on the shorts if NOT was to spin off say Windfall...I found it quite interesting the spin-off of the Quest Uranium shares from Freewest and the statement made with regards to the effect on the short positions...it is as follows:

"It is possible that those who have engaged in short selling of the shares of Freewest Resources may not be able to cover their short positions, in light of the dividend declaration, until such time, if any, as Quest Uranium is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange."

So...now I'm wondering....if NOT was to undergo a similar type spin-off, would it be a good squeeze on those shorting the stock?

Interested in comments from others knowledgeable in this area.
