Sweet post Bentonstocks. Very well put. It too bad there isn't a way to keep the bit straight but really its like a plumbing snake. Whereever it hits resistence it diverts direction (of course the driller won't know so they can be drilling sideways or up for a hundred or more metres, instead of down) once it becomes more flexible due to extension after extension to the drill. That's why we trust in the NOT geology and drilling teams. If we don't trust....then why are we here... really :)
