That is informative that as a non resident, you are able to open a Canadian trading account. Now how difficult the process would be is not something that I am familiar with. Forgive my ignorance on this subject, would you not just open a Canadian bank account and deposit your (Converted into Can$) funds, just for example, in TD bank, which is what I use. Then you would transfer those funds into a TD Waterhouse Canadian Cash trading account. Trading would be on line and all the transactions would be in Canadian funds. I know as a Canadian I had no trouble opening a US bank account with Bankof America.
