Your post is appreciated.
Any information that tends to calm those who are new to the juniour metals market, and provide insight with respect to these types of plays is both welcome and healthy. In this type of investment we work with a whole different set of rules, as the ultimate value of a company like Noront is directly based on the grade, and tonnage of the goodies that can be extracted from the ground.
What some people have difficulty realizing is that we are not investing in a company that has developed a new type of widget. In those companies, the market will determine true value...either you like the widget or you don't. You know what the company has, and you can bring your experience to bear to decide if the world will want the widget and so forth.
In our type of play, the public does not determine either the grade or the tonnage (true indications of value) , so the gyrations in stock price, at the early stage of exploration, will not be a true indication of value. The gyrations only represent marginal market forces which are independent, and must be distinguished from, the forces of nature.
So when some say that "the market is never wrong", that does not apply. Here the market can only guess based on the limited, and entirely positive, information we have so far. What makes Noront so exceptional and exciting to watch, is that based on the results known to date, the market is sitting almost perfectly still, holding it's breath, with less than 1% of the float trading on a daily basis. Here the market, after running the price up dramatically over the course of a few months, is not willing to guess wrong.
What that tells me is that the action has not yet begun.
Not by a longshot.
In the interim, all the information coming out of the cores is positive. The picture just keeps getting better with every news. The grades are fantastic and the tonnage is increasing.
Why should I care what the share price is at now, with less than 1% of the float changing hands? Short answer, I don't.
Which is why I am sleeping...like a baby.
If you are looking for a real short term in and out type of play, I cannot recommend this company to you. If you are worried about making your money work in the short term, I have nothing to offer.
This play may take three months, six, 12 or even 18 before we really have the full picture. During that time there will be dramatic price swings, likely to the positive, as more drill results come out and further periods where the share price stalls, or dwindles on small volume.
We will also hear more from the other properties, which will further add to the excitement.
Those that whine about the current share price have short term agendas, and although I feel their pain, they really have no business being part of this story. Their criteria for success and failure does not apply.
Those that are shorting the stock have no effect on my life because I have no intention of selling until the full value of these properties is revealed and unleashed. If they are making some money in the short term, excellent. Everybodu should do well. I do not short this stock because I have no skill in doing so, and the risks involved are greater than my tolerance will allow.
Hurtin, if you decide to invest in this company, i recommend that you do so, and then leave it be for the time I have suggested. By doing so, you will likely become quite wealthy.
Best of luck to you.
And now, if you don't mind....
Wake me at $20.00.
