Stock question for the Board. Please Help

I have asked this question to the board before but, today Wells Fargo (my Rep) called me to let me know that the symbol NOSOF traded in the U.S. on the stock exchange is totally different from NOT traded on the Canada exchange. As you all know the stock was 3.08 up .38 cents in Canada opposed to 2.85 down .2455 cents in U.S. This is alot different then just the rate difference in the U.S. and Canada dollars. They told me that there was 51,000 shares traded in U.S. to 1,800,000 traded in Canada. They also told me that NOT could shoot up to $5.00 and NOSOF could in the same day go down to $1.00 and there is nothing anyone can do since NOSOF is traded on the U.S. exchange. They gave me some name like "AAP" or something like that as being like a fund of the company but not really being treated the same as in Canada exchange. I am very concerned now and I told them I would of never bought the 10,000 shares down here if I would of known that yes it was the same company but, not really the same stock being one in Canada and one being in the U.S. This really sucks since I was going to hold LONG with this stock and help with my retirement. Please help with any answers if you can. I know you folks have told me in the past that it is the same and that it was only the difference in the two dollar amounts but, this is serious and they could be this different. Do you think it is Wells Fargo messing with me or are they tellilng me the truth?
