I suggest you get the RTQ for NOT. Convert it to US $ from the info at kitco. Call your broker and get the bid and asked for NOSOF. The bid should be very close to the NOT rtq. You do pay a little more because your broker will use a canadien market maker. Your broker is absolutely wrong if he says NOSOF could trade at $1.00 and NOT at $5.00

This should put your fears to rest.
