NI 43-101 Update (September 2012): 11.1 Mt @ 1.68% Ni, 0.87% Cu, 0.89 gpt Pt and 3.09 gpt Pd and 0.18 gpt Au (Proven & Probable Reserves) / 8.9 Mt @ 1.10% Ni, 1.14% Cu, 1.16 gpt Pt and 3.49 gpt Pd and 0.30 gpt Au (Inferred Resource)
Sorry I just don't yet buy it. A hit on VMS doesn't mean economic mineralization. Aerial and ground surveys or MMI test don't guarantee an economic ore body. There are 1000's of targets all over Northern Ontario and Quebec that turned out to be not economic.
Sure all the above and costly diamond drilling narrow down the odds but it's still an expensive risky business exploring for mineral wealth.
Is this a great area to explore? Sure it is and some day some where one of the players will find something of value but so far it's only Noront. The others might have the sizzel but Noront has the steak.
