Actually you are right D12 in that they are NOT forced to buy. Re reading the release it says the warrants expiry will be moved (accelerated) to 30 days past the close of the 10 day of trading at/over $6. This means at the end of the next 30 trading days the warrants will expire and if they haven't bought them they(the warrants) will be no more. As I read it.
