When talking about Equinox and their copper, he said he has sold all of the metals stocks in his fund because of the recession in the US making them just too risky. It would be hard to recommend NOT in a positive light after that comment ....if Sprott still owns NOT.

I think that he doesn't have a world view. China and India are not going to stop expanding because of the US. It may be a smidge slower, but they are going to use increasing resources of all kinds as they modernize and expand. The US might cause a little cramp, but China and India will keep on running the marathon.
