All this talk of Texas, price of gold going to the moon, world supply of oil depleted, Mad Max running for Prime Minister, got me thinking about logistics. Logistics of Newfoundland separating from Canada since it has gold, oil, it's own independant powergrid and is now a "have province" ???? No, us Newfoundlanders are much more loyal than that. I'm thinking about the logistics of where the mill and concentrator is going to be located between the Eagles. If Eagle Three is bigger than Eagle One and smaller than Eagle Six, the price of oil will dictate that the concentrator be strategically located so as to minimize haulage times from the mines. Or will all the heavy lifting be done by electricity? As a young fellow, I made a lot of money doing time and motion studies at a large open pit mine. Seems archaic now in the age of GPS and computers. All the shovels and drills were electric. At Noront inpit crushing(electric) is an option and overland conveying(electric) is also an option. Abundance of hydropower on our doorstep. Nuclear power is a Canadian expertise.Times change quickly, and I'm not that old. lol. A whole pile of things to ponder about.
Yeah....logistics and strategy trumps doom and gloom (just my humble opinion of course)
