To add another point, a major really doesn't care one fiddle about what the market prices NOT's shares at. What the major is looking at is what is in the ground and what it(the major) will profit by mining the resource. So why would a major who wants to know what is there try to under cut exploration dollars for a resource they want.

Let's face it people this is about making money. We(share holders) profit through share price. Companies mining make money by selling the product.
