Message: MTX hits massive sulphide in JBL

Geoprof- it appears you are raining on our parade when you say "I hope that the pyrite was not identified correctly, but ...."

Is it easy to misidentify iron pyrite? It seems both volcanic associated massive sulphides (VMS) and magmatic massive sulphides (MMS) both contain pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite but only VMS deposits contain pyrites. Knowing the signifigance of the pyrites wouldn't the geologist have been very careful in his wording? Could the VMS deposit still be a good source for Copper and Zinc?

The MTX press release said: "Significant amounts of pyrrohotite, pyrite and chalcopyrite have been visually identified by Brian Polk within the massive sulphides."
