I suppose the term for the day is "REMOTE'. Do I have this right?

Thunder Bay is just as remote as the ROF is. Sudburry is remote as well. just ask any American from the south. We here live in a far Northern remote Community.

Lets lay the differences on the table.

ROF... still building connecting roads. Ministry of Mines etc, Health and more are pushing for roads. Roads are a non issue! There will be more roads in the ROF than there are in Thunder Bay shortly.

Thunder Bay. Popultation around 115,000 give or take.

People in and around the rof? Including camps, reserves, employees? From several camps? Reserves? I figure 50,000 peaople. Not much difference!

How remote is the ROF? Its a phone call away! How many planes and helicopters in the air? Hundreds!

Remote is only what you want it to be. Anwar isn't even remote anymore. Its a stupid term that connotes negativity or a barrier against upward mobiltiy. We don't really need the term here. One more thing much of Thunder Bay is up North in the bush now, working on rigs, claims staking, fishing etc... so have of 130,000 is around 75,000 in the bush on any given week end...lol......Don
