" remote is a relative term"
That is a very important statement, Res. If you compare the cost that will be required to develop Mcfaulds area, compared to a similar project in, say, a south american country, this will be a cakewalk. Couple that with the fact that the Ontario Gov't would love to have the justification to develop better infrastructure in the area. I use as a comparison, Thompson Manitoba. A huge nickel find that took seven years to prove up. The prov government needed a northern centre to improve their logistics in the area, and funded the development of a railroad, Built a dam on the Kelsey river to provide power, and built a highway into the area. This was almost sixty years ago, but the comparison is valid.
The real problem here, and it has been discussed in depth on this forum is tonnage. Without the 43-101 there can be no honest evaluation of what we have. Even with the 43-101, we will still be limited in knowing what we have, as there is a huge factor in the chromite, that cannot even be openly discussed by management until they first do a whole lot of groundwork.
There is going to be in excess of a 100 million spent there this year. Anyone who believes that Noront selected one spot in that area, drilled two holes, and hit the only chunk of nickel that was to be found can only be described as extremely unrealistic.
I understand that there are two camps on this forum. The first camp wants to see us hit big, soon. The reason for this is they want to see a big jump in share price so they can dump their holdings, some for the second or third time. They spend hours out of the day sitting here, posting, and hoping that something happens today. That is good as while they are here they are constantly digging for, and finding, more information which they graciously share with the rest of us.
Then there is the other camp. This one realizes that this play will not be finished until the day, some time in the future, when they drill that deep hole and come up with 120 m of 5%+ nickel, and we all calmly sit back and realize we are a part of history. These investors do not fret the day to day events, although they too wait and hope for that big hit short term, as it would be a lot more comfortable knowing that the SP was 8.00 instead of 3.00.
I am one of the second group. It is summer time. All of my projects are completed. I spend less than 1 hr a day on this monitor, my boat is in the water, the golf course is in beautiful shape and I will be quite content to come back in September and start getting antsy again.
