I agree that location is important. The point I wanted to get across in my musing is that chromium is not a rare mineral. I believe many on here see it as such and consider it as they would nickel and gold.

Given that it is not rare, then we are forced to compete with the big boys with holdings in countries where labour is much less. If our cost to ship is much less, then we have a competitive advantage. With 1.8 + Billion tonnes of chromium in S.A, supply is endless given current demand. What is needed now is a economic analysis of how Noront would do when competing with the likes of XStrata and Samamcor.
