I can think of several reasons for a trip at this time for Mungall. The AGM is coming up in a few weeks, and best to be up to date with a site visit to prepare for it. When was the last time he was at McFaulds? A lot has happened over the summer, at various properties. Perhaps, because of the relatively close working relationships of many of the juniors there, he will be permitted to view their operations/results first hand as well. Maybe, the on site geos need some further guidance re geological interpretation, spotting of new DDHs, logging of core, better sampling techniques, etc. All I can say is that the more a geo like Mungall visits the field sites, the more valuable his insights can be.

Hope this helps.
