The way i see it...

Good post today everybody. Nice to see an upbeat attitude on the board today (with out any bickering) on day we close at a buck :(

So the way i see it, NOT would have to have one of their drills hit a huge undergroung vault with $10 B in cash or gold bars to have any positive affect on the sp. I'm not even sure todays market would even care about that! The good thing is that we are not alone. Most of the stocks I watch on a daily basis (which includes very reputable companies like POT, SGQ, RIMM ect) are down to 30% of their 52 week highs. So basically we will be waiting longer than we expected to reap the rewards of our investments (thanks to those wall street a$$holes who basically screwed the world over and yet they get to walk away with millions and millions). Sorry just venting again. How long will we have to wait is the real question here. Maybe somebody like coswil or someone with his qualifications could shed some light on how long this recession/depression could possibly last.

I just purchased more NOT today. As Warren Buffet says "be fearful when the market is greedy and be greedy when the market is fearful" Right now the market is down right terrified! Buffet also says when making investments, purchase something you don't mind holding for 5 to 10 years. So if your not going to retire in the next 2 years and you truly belive in all your DD, then you should not hesitate to purchase in todays market (be it NOT or something else). Keep in mind this is my opinion and not financial advice.

One more side note. Shorting in todays market should be absolutely outlawed. IMO, it should be outlawed in any market but especially right now. Here is another question for coswil or other investment specialist. What are the chances of the market regualtors in Canada outlawing shorting until we work through this economic crisis? Would a mass email petition help or just a waste of band width?
