This was interesting to read. Since it is a reprint, I missed it the first time around. Several people wrote here with concern about a takeover. I was a doubter. However, I was thinking outside, and surprise, surprise, it came from within the comany of shareholders. I was among those who did not like what went on, but I also realize we have to abide by the outcome. R.N. worked hard to get us a reasonable agreement. If these people can do it, so can somebody else. The way the markets are, I do not think there is anyone out there who wants to spend the money to buy us at this time. Even if I am wrong again, the new people would want to make money too. I do not think it would be from within just now. Making us takeover proof would not be easy, and from what I have read, hard to do to be effective. Some have gone to court in a fight about it. We cannot afford money for court costs when we are looking for it to drill. #1 wouldn't have had a chance with the sentiment on the board and the hopes for Windfall. #2, Noront has had its hands full raising cash to drill, however, if cash was available it would have been a good idea. I think R.N. and company would have done that. So, #3 wouldn't work the way things were. #4, I think he did that. #5, seems nice and was worth the try. Maybe he did and failed. I know McEwen sold Goldcorp and basically retired, wanting to go low key. #6 is an old version of promote, promote, promote. promote what? We who read this board are converts to the Noront project. I read a lot and nowhere yet have I seen anything that really gets excited about this find ( except us ). So many small companies sent out releases to the papers and BNN etc. and we never hear about them. There is just so much space in a paper and so much air time. Everyone thinks their project deserves notice and is surprised nobody cares......YET. This market crisis has a ways to go yet and it is still unravelling. No bottom with the markets in sight either. I hope a solution is found before too much longer. The governments cannot print money forever and have it accepted. The banking system shut down due to no lending. It took a pile to get it going. What will shut down next? Companies too large to fail are running out, and cities are starting to line up for money. Will there be any left when we start lining up? Let's hope it doesn't get that far. Don't tell me it can't happen, nobody knows yet. CASH IS KING, remember that.
