I read the daily press releases of significance re: the junior exploration/mining sector that I receive from Infomine through a service. I concur with Mustangman's thoughts, that the many cutbacks and closures of many juniors is going to benefit Noront. There are two main reasons for this conclusion. (1) We have much higher grades of nickel/pgm's and chromium than other juniors have been working on; and (2) we are "cashed up" at a much higher level than other juniors are.
This means two further things. (1) Because of our very large bankroll, we can outlast the other juniors, who are running out of financing and cannot, at the present time, successfully obtain financing; and (2) we have enough cash to not only outlast, and merely survive other juniors, but to continue a fairly aggressive exploration campaign this winter (which is the most efficient and cost-effective season to be exploring in Canada - because of many necessities being able to come in more cheaply by truck over ice roads, instead of by helicopters; and because of the much greater ease of moving drill rigs over frozen ground, instead of having to labor over swamp/bogs terrain).
Finally, I'd like to point out again that the current Board of Directors has agreed that they have made a commitment this winter is to drill "high priority" targets. As I pointed out in a recent post, many investors who have withdrawn their money from various other investments, are holding cash. A number of these individuals and funds are aware of the huge upside that can be gained by new discoveries of high-grade ores with substantial size. They are looking for where they can invest their capital. By hitting a new discovery of substantial high-grade and over some sizeable drill lengths, Noront stands a good chance to obtain the inflow of these investors' funds. That means a growing stock price, and a growing interest in majors to want to buy us out at a premium.
Bottom Line: By the demise of the less-cashed-up juniors with lower grade and smaller deposits over coming months, Noront will become more readily apparent as the choice target for investment and takeover. This will become even more accelerated as Noront's management hits new deposits of high grade and substantial size. They've proved their accuracy and analyzing electromagnetic data, and hitting anamolies of great worth, with a very high degree of success. So, the big bankroll we hold, and the commitment to pursue "high priority" targets (which our geologists have shown they can hit with hight degree of accuracy), are major ingredients that will lead to success.
