Funny you should say this. I travelled back to Saskatchewan to see my father last week and we inevitably started talking of the markets. His advice to me was that during the crash of 87 he was busy building a house on the farm. Stated the crash of 87 for all intesnive purposes went by unnoticed for him and when he next looked at his portfolio it was in good shape. I believe he was basically stating don’t panic and you will be fine. It will come back. At least you will not have all the stress associated with this down market.
