A petition is a lazy person's way to do something. I'm not saying it shouldn't be done but there is a better way. Those to whom a petition is directed know that it is too easy to sign a name to a list. Many times a name appears on a list by someone who doesn't care. A friend doesn't want to offend etc., but it also means they are not really committed. So, when reading a petition list who really knows one from the other. A much more effective way is to send your own note to whomever. Now the person intended to recieve your concern knows if you took the trouble, you mean it. I read what Snug wrote and wholly agree with him. WRITE...!! It carries a lot more weight. I don't mean to offend those who work at a petition, but there is a better way.
