Everyone assumes that the new PP was taken up totally by institutions. That is wrong. If it was true they would have closed it in 2 days. I talked to IBK twice on the subject over a 3 week time period, and both times they were very solicitous towards me on the basis that I may buy in. I decided against it, but it took over 3 weeks for them to finally close it at less than 100% fill.
Back to the subject of NOT PR dept as opposed to Agoracom, the facts are that they now look at us in a we/them fashion. There are suggestions that if they altered their perception a bit, we would be more helpful, but that just ain't gonna happen. As has been stated, this perception came about as a result of the proxy fight, and it has continued during this lull in information, as we have continued to fire shots at them at every opportunity.
What I am saying is that if there is to be any chance of returning this forum to it's former stature with the BOD, the effort will have to come from us. The recent effort towards the gov'ts regarding infrastructure is a good example of ways we can help, but we have to also get rid of the constant negativity towards the BOD that has been prevalent or the positive steps are like peeing into the wind.
