Not much doubt that the action without news from company is confusing a lot of people and the exchange likely soon to question Noront Management again about 'material' information. Too fast a move not to be caused by either a fairly widespread and solid rumour OR indeed somebody wanting a large stake immediately.

We'll find out the answer, imho, within a few days. While I like the idea of accumulation by a major it's hard to see them doing so without more information being released by Noront. More likely might be deep pocketed speculative investor(s).
