Hey googleeye.
I think there might be a little confusion with respect to the 44 holes as per your post:
"44 holes takes a few months to drill. Odd that they left it this long to mention."
These holes reported for Au mineralization in this release were actually holes drilled in 2008 and some in 2009.
ie. Holes NOT-08-1G024 and 025 were assay reported in the July 30/08 N/R. Final assays for the Blackbird deposits were reported on August 29/09 and that N/R stated:
The primary goal of this drilling campaign was to define a National Instrument 43-101 compliant resource for the Blackbird chromite deposits. The preparation of the resource estimate is currently being undertaken by Micon International Limited and is expected to be completedin the fourth quarter of this year.
I suspect that in preperation of the above said report, gold assays were conducted.
I did attempt to determine a weighted average per tonne of the gold but the format of the N/R did not allow a proper copy and paste into excel format. (and too many samples to manually input) While this new "Triple J" zone is a bonus, average grades appear to be in the <1.0 gram category. (JJ's middle name isn't Janice is it? :)
I do find it interesting though that NOT elected to highlight this new gold zone in the the header and initial text of this N/R and seemingly gave the deliniation of Eagles Nest lesser due. As per the release:
Four drills continue to delineate the Eagle’s Nest along strike, down dip and to greater depths due to previously announced drilling capacity. Current drilling has traced portions of the Eagle’s Nest deposit more than 100 metres along strike and indicates widths up to 50 metres. Results from the drilling will be released as they become available.
Depth 1000 mteres +
Widths up to 50 metres
Strike 100 metres +
Massive Sulphides - 4.34 tonnes/m3 (cubic meter)
Disseminated - 2.98 tonnes/m3
I will leave the speculation to you.
Tomorrow and beyond will be very interesting to say the least.
Cheers,

Additional deeper drilling at AT-12? Bring it on!
