Thanks for your comments. You asked for clarification re how "tough" the NOT BOD will be...either a Robert Friedland type or an Aurelian type. You apppear to characterize the former as a gung ho, totally dedicated to his shareholders type guy. I presume you are referring to Voisey's Bay and Diamond Fields. I certainly have heard nothing to the contrary that would contradict your impression of him from that affair. However, one of his early ventures into mining, Galactic Resources' Summitville Au mine in Colorada, turned out to be the worst environmental disaster area ever created by mining in the USA. Its Summitville subsidiary declared bankruptcy in 1992, leaving an environmental mess. Friedland has been, as he has often said, the "poster boy" for chemical waste - "Toxic Bob" to critics......the site qualified for the SuperFund!!! According to an article published in April 2009, "By December 2000, the U.S. Department of Justice and the State of Colorado reached a settlement with Robert Friedland, the former CEO of Galactic Resources. Friedland agreed to pay $27.75 million." The existing shareholders lost everything. Those that sold before bankruptcy, probably made money, including Friedland. That's a pretty "tough" character in my estimation, in fact even "ruthless and shrewd".
Now lets have a look at the Aurelian team. My only knowledge about them is from what I have briefly read on Agoracom.......seems that there are mixed reviews as to their BOD's actions. I do not have the time to do a complete DD on what appears to have been a very complicated sequence of events in the history of Aurelian. I leave it up to you to provide me with a condensed version....we can pursue this if you wish, but on the OT forum please.
