It's only a merger if the parties sit down and agree terms. It's hostile ,in fact, because NOT requested a meeting on a Friday I think and, getting no response, sent out an offer the following Monday. Correct me if I'm wrong on the timing. So it was aggressive and hostile and bound to set teeth on edge. It's all water under the bridge now, but has had a profound psychological effect. Whether it was a master stroke, however insensitive, I don't know, but there seems to be agreement that FWR is now in play
