It's pretty clear to me that your concept of what a "logistics" company does is not based in reality. My cousin is married to a man who handled logistics for the US Marine Corps and is a helicopter pilot.

It's more than just placing phone calls, it's having the load-carrying capacity under contract to be able to lift those 2500m drills and move them from location to location in a timely manner. The skill to fly helicopters is not a skill that's just found at the local lodge, especially the birds that can lift heavy payloads. Noront contracted with Matrix because they can "get 'er done". If Great Slave can "get 'er done" at a competitive price, then when the Matrix contract comes up for re-bid they will get an opportunity to place a bid, too, I imagine.
