It was Noront that called Freewest at 13;00 hrs on a Friday afternoon on the long w/e and wanted an answer by Monday noon (still part of the long w/e)
As you should know most of Bay street closes down at noon on a Friday hence the low volumes for that day.(Friday)
Freewest's BOD and its shareholders where justly upset at this lowball bid so of course they turned it down, as well as the neferious way it was presented with little or no option. If you had ever visted the Freewest board back then... the animosity towards Noront was palitable!!!...We even held a special party for the shareholders to entice them over to Noront (few attended)
I don't know what you consider a merger but putting a gun to someones head or ramming it down their throat is not it!
I don't know if we got scalded but I do know it cost us a pretty penny for the party and that fiasco. That is usally what happens when you play with fire.
I am glad you picked up a few shares today, every bit helps
