I can only think of two reasons for delaying drill news.
1. Management as insiders want to grant themselves options but want to maintain distance time wise from granting options to releasing news.
2. Management wants to control the share price or have the ammunition ready to do so in case there is a take over attempt of the company Or they are planning a takeover or a merger themselves.
Take over of us seems most likely from recent sp action.
In resisting a take over one wants to have news reserves, so no release, while if one wants to take over then a timely release days before is in the works. In this last case you want your sp not only to go up but to maintain a higher price for at least several days to give a higher average, say for last 30 days.
Anyone with other reasons?
