My turn... firstly JJ wouldn't have said "favourable" (note the correct English spelling of the word, not the MS Word Americanization). She would have used the word "favourably" which is an adverb used to modify the verb "react", thus there is room for doubt as to exactly what she said. As for the rest of your response... wow... I'd be careful what I said around you! :)

"It depends on how the market reacts"

"It depends on how favourably the market reacts"

One could argue that he could have asked "do you think the N.R. will drop the sp like the last one?" to which she could have replied... "it depends how badly the market responds". So you see the answer is partially set up by the framing of the question. Nice analytical thinking though.
