Majors don't take risks like gambling that there is an elephant underground. They will pay more to know more.

Nobody knows what cards Wes is holding. Is it a 7 - 2 offsuit or does he have pocket aces? If a major pushes his chips in and Wes reveals some pretty phenomenal information (Aces), then the major has to dig back into his pile for a re-raise.

I think Noront's protection against a takeout is that they have been drilling for many months and have nothing to show for it. Are they a tremendous failure with nothing, or are they a sleeping giant?

They emptied the closet during the Freewest deal. Well, I think the closet is full again.

They have languished on getting a TSX listing so down here in the minor leagues of the Venture, they can do whatever the hell they want. What is anyone going to do about it?
